Cooking: Quick Mashed Potatoes

Lately I’ve been expanding my breakfast roster… mostly because I realized breakfast is the only meal I can be bothered to eat properly. The rest of the day I can’t even be assed to feed myself.
A while back I saw a heroine in some eroge who loves mashed potatoes, and watching her eat got me hungry as hell, so I went and made some myself.

Ingredients:
- One potato
- Asparagus
- Shiitake mushrooms
- Bacon
- Black pepper
- A slice of cheese
- Salt
- Soy sauce
- Milk
Method:
- Peel and dice the potato, grab a pot, add cold water, toss the diced potato in and start boiling
- Wash and dice the asparagus and shiitake, dice the bacon
- You can either blanch the asparagus and shiitake in boiling water or give them a quick fry in a small pan — either way, just get them cooked, boiled or fried, don’t matter
- Boil the potato for 15 minutes, poke it with a chopstick, and once it’s soft, fish it out. Get a bowl and mash it with a spoon
- Tear up the cheese slice and mix it into the mash
- Mix in the diced bacon, shiitake, and asparagus too
- Add a splash of milk and keep mixing
- Season with soy sauce, salt, and black pepper, keep mixing
- Plate it up and eat.
It tastes great, highly recommend, though I honestly have no idea how to plate it so it looks good…
