The Black Domain Activator
I bought a Black Domain activator a while back, but that one was the old version — it worked, sure, but you still had to install an APK add-on on the phone…
So now there’s a new version:

Honestly I’ve barely used the thing, but it left an impression…
Namely: no more APKs. You just find somewhere with power, plug the phone into the USB port, it asks whether to allow USB debugging, you allow it, and Black Domain boots up.
This is presumably the real, complete version of the so-called “Black Domain activator” — and the practical one.
That said, for most people finding a computer lying around isn’t hard, though for Windows users it’s still a hassle. I’m on Linux, so maybe I just never felt that pain.
If you can still put up with the Black Domain author and his software, and you actually need this, the new activator is probably worth considering.
