Logitech G602
Getting this mouse was a total accident.
I’d been using an MX518 since college, and it miraculously never broke — at least until last week.
Then last week the MX518 finally kicked it. The middle click was failing intermittently. Warranty was out of the question; I’ve forgotten how many years it’s been. So at last I had an excuse to buy a new mouse lol.
Originally I was going to wait for the successor to the G700s, but Logitech just refuses to make one. Buying a G700s now isn’t great on price either, plus it has the short battery life problem. I figured the G602 misses the mark on some specs, but at least it’s a new product, so I went with it.

(Worst case I’ll swap again when the G700s successor comes out…)
I’m not especially picky about mice — I just play a bit of Dota and some casual FPS. Quick impressions:
- Feels good in the hand, no discomfort.
- Not particularly heavy either.
- The plastic feel is a bit strong. A lot of people complain the scroll wheel isn’t metal — I don’t care, but it does look cheap.
- It’s wireless, but not Unifying, so you still have to plug in a separate receiver.
- Two days of use and battery life shows no problems. Feels like it’ll last forever.
- And most importantly:
At first I kept worrying whether the G602 would affect my gaming, since the specs aren’t great. Later I realized the mouse was never the bottleneck… at my skill level I’m nowhere near the point of being picky about mice.
Truly sad…
