Boogie Board Jot

A girl I know took a liking to the Boogie Board Jot I bought earlier, so I gave it to her. I’d been feeling the 8-inch was too small anyway — it can’t even hold a day’s worth of work notes — so I took the chance to size up to 10 inches.
The only 10-inch option is the Boogie Board 10.5, and it’s worth noting that the 10.5 is actually older than the Jot. Meaning some of its features are arguably behind the Jot’s. The big ones:

- The Jot has a black background with green text, so contrast is good. This 10-inch one is black with grey-green text.
- The Jot has magnets on the back so it sticks to things. This one doesn’t.
- The Jot’s screen isn’t as slick as the 10.5’s — though it’s still plenty slick.
- The Jot runs on a coin cell, while the 10.5 also has a replaceable battery, but it’s a AAAA, same as the Surface Pro 3 pen.
That’s about it. Bigger is just better — you can write more. Though on this slicker screen my handwriting has gotten even uglier. Fine for scribbling cursive and doodling, but forget about writing anything proper.
