Ordered a Braun Series 5 5030s Shaver from Japan

My beard grows back pretty fast, but I’d been using my dad’s ancient Philips shaver the whole time, and for a while now it just hasn’t been getting the job done. Figured I’d buy one from overseas.

Settled on the Braun Series 5 5030s, wanted it under 400 RMB after everything, used Tensou.com for the forwarding.

Got it in hand and it’s solid. Also I genuinely cannot understand why the domestic version retails for that much…

Using it feels like a whole different world. Sure, it’s not the top tier, but it’s more than enough.

1. First off, it’s clean. My beard isn’t especially coarse, and this thing gets everywhere.
2. Second, the battery life is nuts. Compared to that domestic Philips that needed half a day to charge after barely a few uses, this is in a different league.
3. Last, the vibration. This thing shakes hard… after two days my hand was numb.

Verdict: money well spent, happiness levels spiked.
