VGA switcher / wallet from Amazon US

Didn’t buy anything for Double 11 since I was already broke from building the NAS earlier. So it was just small stuff this time.

First up, a VGA signal switcher for work. Taobao special, 20 yuan. I initially assumed it needed power, then found out it’s dead simple — no power required, it’s just a switch that flips the VGA lines. Works fine. Slightly disappointing that it isn’t powered, but hey, at least my several machines can finally share one monitor.

Then the wallet from Amazon US. Got poisoned by this post on Smzdm — given my fondness for canvas, I grabbed the only color that was in stock. Went with Amazon’s global shipping, which was surprisingly fast; it arrived in under two weeks.

Turns out it’s more of a capacity downgrade compared to my old wallet — no inner compartments, fewer card slots. On the upside it’s smaller and the canvas blue looks much nicer. A 100-yuan bill fits without sticking out, but only just. Considering how good it looks, I can live with that.
