ngff Enclosure and iQunix USB Drive
I had a spare 128GB Plextor ngff SSD lying around after a swap, and selling it wouldn’t have gotten me much, so I figured I’d just grab a cheap KingSpec enclosure and mess around with it.
It’s pretty tiny once it arrives, just a little thing…

That’s what it looks like with the drive slotted in.

Oddly enough, Windows 10 still detects it as a hard drive. Speed under Win 10 is nothing to write home about — maybe a driver issue — only 60MB/s writes. Under Linux with an ext4 partition doing a straight copy it hits 100MB/s easily (though who knows if that’s real or if the thing just writes that slowly to begin with).
I also picked up an iQunix USB drive during the Double 11 sale a while back. I bought it thinking the all-metal build was the selling point, so I went with black, my favorite. Turns out it’s not metal at all…
It’s plastic. It looks nice when polished up, but it picks up fingerprints way too easily, and without that metal feel it’s really not much.
Checked the official site afterward and sure enough there’s a metal version — just 30 yuan more, and out of stock.
Tested the read/write speeds and they’re honestly fine for the price, so I stopped caring.

Just telling you now: if you’re buying one, get the metal version.
