Oniichan Teacher ~Himitsu no Jugyou o Kibou Shimasu! is the latest entry in the Oniichan, Use of Your Right Hand Is Forbidden! line. Still one brother and a pile of sisters, but the cast is completely different this time. At best it’s a spiritual sequel…

Honestly, Oniichan, Use of Your Right Hand Is Forbidden! was actually pretty fun. It’s a nukige, sure, but it goes the comedy route, and the slice-of-life parts aren’t boring either. The protagonist freaking out over his hand injury every five minutes keeps things entertaining. And the OP is goated—the lyrics alone are insane, the melody’s solid, and it’s genuinely catchy enough to get stuck in your head.

That said, Right Hand Forbidden has its flaws. The art needed work, and the voice acting was a bit weak. So this spiritual sequel, Oniichan Teacher ~Himitsu no Jugyou o Kibou Shimasu!, upgrades both: the art is way cuter, these sisters are on a completely different level from the previous game, and the VAs are more professional instead of the messy, forgettable performances from before…

But…

BUT!!

Those two things improved, sure, but the game’s story took a massive nosedive in how fun it is…

Yeah, maybe you’re thinking a nukige doesn’t need a story, but a game that’s all about servicing your dick without a decent story is worth less than nothing. In Oniichan Teacher ~Himitsu no Jugyou o Kibou Shimasu!, the protagonist is both the brother and the teacher of these sisters, and the whole school consists of him and his four sisters, so the sisters hound him into giving them secret lessons.

Then the story turns into painfully boring choices: every day you pick who to see, and seeing them is just “Ah, brother, you came. Ah, brother, you left. Ah, brother, you came again. Ah, brother, why’d you leave again?"—endless pointless greetings. The dialogue has zero flavor. Worst of all, the protagonist starts endless “head-pat” moments with the sisters. God, I fucking hate head-pats. And the game is absolutely loaded with them: sister cooks, head-pat; sister eats, head-pat; sister fucks up cooking, head-pat; even after sex, another head-pat. On top of that, they’re all recycled CGs—a thick stench of budget-cutting. So right up to the ending, the story just loops through “meet every day and pat heads.” The title says Oniichan Teacher, but nothing gets taught—not even positions…

You could say it’s just a simple game about a guy and his sisters living together… and a really boring one at that. Even as a moe nukige, the H-scenes have low usability…

And the absolute worst part: the OP is ear-splittingly bad…

Aaaaah, I regret playing this… What a waste of such good character designs. Galette should put this art into their sub-brand gLace so the next game like Ten no Sora doesn’t fail to attract players because the characters aren’t cute enough…
