Quick Fix: Dota 2 on Steam Linux Broken After Nvidia Driver Update

Nvidia pushed a driver update today, and right after that Steam on Linux blew up.

Dota 2 wouldn’t run.

Did some digging and it turns out it’s a known bug, and there’s a temporary workaround too.

__GLVND_DISALLOW_PATCHING=1 steam

Launched the game and it worked. Temporary, though — for the real fix you’ll have to wait for the next driver update.
