Logitech MX Anywhere 2

Bought this because my old Microsoft Bluetooth mouse kicked the bucket, and there was a coupon on JD. A guy at work wanted one too, so we combined the two for a 599 - 120 coupon and each walked away at 360 yuan. Not a bad price.

Once it arrived I realized there’s nothing really special about it, since I already had the first-gen MX Anywhere on hand, and the second gen is almost identical in shape to the first — only the materials differ. Feel is about the same too; the main upgrade is Bluetooth support, and three Bluetooth devices you can switch between.

The Bluetooth switching is genuinely snappy in practice — using it across multiple devices is a non-issue. One catch though: it needs Bluetooth Low Energy, so you’ll want at least Win7 plus Bluetooth 4.0, otherwise you’re out of luck. On Linux you need BlueZ 5 as well.

All in all it’s decent, though there’s no real surprise — it’s exactly what you’d expect. If you don’t need to write code on the go like I do, I’d say the Master is the better pick.
