Replacing the Middle-Click Switch on a Logitech M570

The Logitech M570 is a solid trackball mouse, it even supports Unifying, and I’ve been happy with it.

But the middle click dies easily. In the end, the double-clicking microswitch was an easy swap, but the middle one is genuinely hard to find.

Well, now I’ve found it.

See the red one? See the white one? Just swap them out and you’re done.

Of course, once I actually got my hands on it…

It was not easy. The soldering is tight as all hell, nothing like a normal microswitch where desoldering is a breeze… so I fumbled around for a while and finally got the solder done.

But the M570 is dead too now. Probably nicked the PCB by accident. Whatever, I’ll just pull out the third M570 I bought and keep using that.

Next time I’ll look into it properly, or just find someone experienced to fix the middle click for me. [1]: https://plumz.me/usr/uploads/2016/10/3958512952.jpg
