Making Sushi, Aaaaargh

I actually thought about making sushi last week, but some bullshit paper thing dragged it out until now.

So I finally had time to actually start making sushi…

I’ve always figured sushi was pretty easy to make!

And yeah, it’s actually stupidly easy!!

The most annoying part is the rice. There are all kinds of fancy rice choices online, but I’m broke as hell, so I just used normal rice. Yeah, the plain white rice you eat every day. After steaming it though, you gotta add stuff. Yeah, the thing called sushi vinegar. Mix it in evenly, then let it cool and set it aside.

Next is cutting the ingredients. I grabbed leftover cucumber, carrot, and ham sausage, and sprinkled on some pork floss. Then you need sushi-specific nori, and a sushi mat, and you gotta roll it tight.

Once it’s rolled, you can set it aside…

When everything’s done, you can finally take out the finished rolls and cut them. Remember to use the sharpest knife you’ve got, or it’ll be a pain in the ass!

It wasn’t until I finished that I realized I forgot to put something in. I forgot the eel…

So in the end the eel just had to become eel rice bowl.

This time I was in a hurry, since I’d just gotten into a fight with some idiot that morning, and the kitchen knife wasn’t sharp, so the ham sausage I cut was way too fucking thick. Next time I’ll find a whetstone, sharpen it, and then fucking make sushi again. And absolutely no way I’m forgetting the eel next time, aaaaah.

Anyway, nobody ate the sushi I made this time, aaaaah. I ate it all myself, aaaaah.
