Sony BRH10 Bluetooth Remote
An impulse buy. Officially it retailed for 699 — it was meant to pair with the Xperia line of tablets.
Then it ended up on Taobao at 35 yuan each, buy one get one free (you had to write the secret code “buy one get one free” in the order notes).
So don’t bother hunting for it — probably sold out by now. I grabbed two, the BOGO kind, and messed around with it a bit after it arrived…
My impression? Simple.
Not very useful…

As you can roughly see, it’s got arrow keys, a Home button, Back, volume up/down.
These map to Android tablet functions — meaning you can use it to control an Android tablet. Besides Sony’s own, I tried it on a Pixel C and it worked too.
So yeah, you can control a tablet with this thing, using the arrow keys — roughly good enough to skip to the next track, next movie, that sort of thing. And if you’re thinking of using it to open apps? Are you sure you’re gonna navigate with the arrow keys on this rather than just use your finger?
It also works connected to a PC — same buttons: Home, Back, up/down/left/right. You can remap them too, maybe use it to play some little games?
Originally I wanted to map it to control an MP3 player, but the A35 doesn’t recognize it. Maybe it only recognizes those standard remotes that sell for 300-something.
Anyway, might as well keep it. It was cheap — maybe it’ll come in handy someday?
