Logitech MX Master
My Microsoft Designer mouse that I’d used for two years finally kicked the bucket… so that gave me an excuse to buy something. Decided to keep the old MX Anywhere 2 for portable use and get a big one for home, and the target was locked on the MX Master — after all, a whole bunch of people call it “the best office mouse.”
Grabbed it cheap on Taobao. Feels fine, honestly, even if the warranty is only one year; replacing the switches on Taobao isn’t expensive either.

A few quick words about this mouse. Not much to say really. Bluetooth 4.0 pairs with Ubuntu fine — you just have to build the latest BlueZ yourself.

The mouse feels great in the hand. As far as office mice go this is about as good as it gets, and it supports both 2.4G Unifying and Bluetooth, plus switching between three devices.

The scroll wheel switches automatically — spin it fast and it goes free-spinning, slow and it clicks like a normal wheel. You can tweak this in the settings.
All in all I don’t really have complaints. Good feel, decent battery life, very practical features. The scroll wheel takes some getting used to, but you can set it back to a normal wheel, so it’s not a big deal. My favorite part is the middle click — it feels amazing. That’s what I’m happiest with.
Apparently the build quality on these is iffy and plenty of people have had the scroll wheel die on them. Hopefully mine holds out a while longer.
