Gravity Rush cleared...

Objectively speaking, this game is good. Comic-book art style, smooth action controls, intuitive progression, clear main and side missions. Even the details—the fluttering skirt, the absolute territory and all that—are handled well…though you can’t see her panties…

But this game just isn’t my thing…

As an action game fan, the style I prefer in action games leans toward combat…the kind where you chase, run, jump and bounce around while blasting the enemy to bits with melee weapons, ranged weapons or magic.

And a style like Gravity Rush’s, where I spend the whole game kicking with my feet and firing off special-move floating cannons, I really can’t stomach.

Also, the boss fights I hate most are the ones where no matter what you do, the boss takes no damage from the front, and you have to do XX first, then OO, then XX again, then OO, so the boss exposes its tender little weak point and only then can you make it lose HP. Repeat three or four times, boss dies…

That setup is dumb as hell! Right? Just once, let the boss come down and fight me face to face! Just once, drop the gadget gimmicks?

Next up I’m picking up Rayman and P4G, and planning to sell off Uncharted + Gravity Rush.
