Landmine Cooking: Potato Chip Chicken Nuggets
Saw a guy on Reddit making popcorn chicken out of potato chips, so I gave it a shot too. And, well… it turned into a landmine dish.
First you need some potato chips. I grabbed the cheap ones on sale at the store, and they were all fuckin’ cucumber flavor.

Then it’s the usual drill: cut the chicken into chunks, marinate in Shaoxing wine and cornstarch.

Crush all the potato chips into crumbs. Beat a bowl of egg. Roll the marinated chicken in the egg first, then the chip crumbs, then lay them out on an oven tray.
Finally, 180°C (350°F) for 25 minutes. Flip them halfway if you feel like it, doesn’t really matter.
Out of the oven! You can sprinkle some black pepper on top.

Honestly it’s not bad on its own, but I still call it a landmine dish. Why, you ask?
Because I fuckin’ used cucumber-flavored chips. If you’re gonna make this, use braised or spicy flavor, not cucumber, or your popcorn chicken just ends up tasting like cucumber.
