OnePlus 5 Screen Protector Picks

The OnePlus 5 is an insanely good phone, but it has curved edges, so screen protectors are still a headache.

First off, the OnePlus 5 ships with a film already applied. From what I can tell, that film is probably the best protector you can get for this phone.

OnePlus does sell an official glass protector, but it covers part of the display, and the stock film they won’t sell you at all…

So you’ve got two options: use a glass protector plus oil for eliminating white edges.

I can’t really recommend a specific glass protector. I just used Fangshao’s, the film itself is fine, but the top and bottom coverage is way too short…

But if you, like me, can’t stop thinking about the stock film, this Taobao shop works. Cheap, too — 19 yuan for 3 pieces.

And once it arrived and I put it on, it really looks identical to the stock film. Sometimes it feels a bit less slick than glass, but the stock film seems the same way; the difference should be under 10%.

Most importantly, it’s cheap, full-coverage, and a soft film with high transparency. Maybe this is the best choice for the OnePlus 5 after all.
