OnePlus 5 and Sony XZP Skins

Both my phone cases kicked the bucket recently, so skins are the stopgap.

For the OnePlus 5 the obvious pick was dBrand. Buy one and they throw in a second, on the theory that you’ll need it after you fuck up the first application…

Fit’s actually not bad. Going caseless still feels weird as hell though.

The Sony XZP skins are more interesting. They come in real leather and wood grain, supposedly genuine leather and actual wood. The feel is genuinely nice, and they’re sold on Taobao. This seller does buy-one-get-one at a decent price, and the cutouts are dead precise. Like, actually precise—it practically goes on without a fight.

Honestly though, I’ve also got a Dbrand Grip on preorder for the OnePlus. Once it shows up I’ll see what new tricks work with a skin underneath.
