Trying Out a Full-Lamination Tempered Glass Screen Protector

A Singaporean company released a full-lamination, full-coverage tempered glass protector for the Sony XZ Premium.

Applying it is kind of a hassle, though—basically you have to fill the gap yourself with optical adhesive.

So I got to try it out, and the result is pretty damn good.

For how to apply it, check their official YouTube video; the principle is explained clearly there too.

Their YouTube channel also has a bunch of experiment videos, which are pretty fun to watch.

Right now you can only buy this protector from their official site. Fortunately, a domestic outfit called “Xiaoxiao Yulei” is already about to clone it, so it’ll probably be cheaper on Taobao by then.

They also have a Note 8 protector using this manual optical-adhesive-filling method, and the same idea works for the iPhone X. Maybe this’ll become a trend down the line.
