Waterpik Freedom Water Flosser
I used to just use string floss. Then by pure chance I ran into Zhao Dazhu’s wife on Twitter — Auntie Pliers, if you know — talking about water flossers. I got curious and asked about it, and it turns out the thing seemed pretty damn good. Not expensive either.
Okay, there are pricey ones too. But I figured there was no point paying more, so I just went and bought it.
Bought it through Amazon Global; 251 yuan delivered, no customs charge, just waiting on the tax refund.

First impressions… obviously it felt all kinds of wrong at the start. Sharp, intense, and I bled a little. A week in, though, I was used to it — honestly kind of enjoyable.
Whether it actually cleans well is hard to say. Still, using it after every brush feels necessary. That said, a water flosser can’t fully replace string floss; sometimes you still need the old-school stuff to get things out. String floss is dirt cheap anyway.
Last thing: I genuinely recommend combining an electric toothbrush, a water flosser, mouthwash, and string floss to keep your mouth clean. Dental health really does matter.
