Intel GPU tweaks that may or may not do anything

Was digging through the Wiki recently and saw that Kaby Lake’s driver on Linux isn’t fully complete by default.
You’ll want to check whether the firmware actually loaded all the way.

Two commands:
sudo cat /sys/kernel/debug/dri/0/i915_huc_load_status
sudo cat /sys/kernel/debug/dri/0/i915_guc_load_status
If it says None, try the trick below.

sudo vim /etc/default/grub
Add the following to the boot parameters:
intel_pstate=skylake_hwp i915.enable_guc_loading=1 i915.enable_guc_submission=1
Normally a reboot is enough after that. But if your guc is still None, you probably need these two links:
/archives/4707/ /archives/6634/
After that it should be sorted.

Feels like my battery life went up quite a bit after turning this on. Might just be placebo.
