From Android Wear to Wear OS

So Google went and renamed their shit again. Everyone knows it.

Android Wear is now Wear OS, and the reason they gave is that “Android watches shouldn’t be Android-only, Apple users can use them too.”

Except Apple users all just use an Apple Watch, you assholes. What the hell.

I don’t know what crawled up the executives’ asses over at Google. They go crazy every other day.

And of course, with the rename comes an update that’s mostly about the rename.

The firmware isn’t small either. Took forever to download.

After the update I couldn’t find a single change in the UI. I looked around for ages and finally found it. Oh, the name says Wear OS now.

So a firmware this big just to change a name? How many variables did you touch in there, exactly?

Two days of use though, and battery life seems better. No idea if it’s from the double wipe during the upgrade or not. Not like it matters. Android Wear system data is disposable anyway. Sync the phone and all the apps come back.
