Milk-Scented Pepper-Salt Sesame Cookies

Met up with Canadian dalao Siyan Zhang yesterday. Since we’re from the same hometown, I treated him to a meal.

We ate at a Russian-style restaurant. I thought it was decent — no idea what the dalao thought.
At the end I gave him a gift and got a rave review from the dalao.

The gift was “milk-scented pepper-salt sesame cookies” I made myself, though the shape borrows from Margaret cookies.

Ingredients are still egg yolk + salt + sugar, but I added some black pepper + black sesame, a bit of scallion, and a splash of milk.
The result is a sweet-savory flavor with a milky aroma — not bad, I think.

If anyone comes to hang out with me in the future, I’ll probably make cookies.
