Install Vim 8.1 on Ubuntu 18.04

Vim 8.1 is a minor release — a handful of new features have landed since Vim 8.0. The big one for me is that Vim 8.1 can run a terminal inside a Vim window. That sounds great.

So I decided to put Vim 8.1 on my main machine.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:jonathonf/vim sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install vim

Enjoy!
