LG Watch Sport: First Thoughts
Replacing the Strap on the LG Watch Sport
The LG Watch Sport officially doesn’t support swapping straps, since the antenna lives in the strap.
But anything that comes apart can be replaced, as long as you can find the parts.
There are two ways to buy a strap for the LG Watch Sport. One is to order from a Korean site, which comes to $58.
The other is to pick up a dead unit on Taobao.
I went with the latter, because it’s cheap!

Taking the strap off is easy, and there’s a teardown guide in Chinese too:
Unscrew the two screws and the strap comes right off. Even with the antenna inside, there’s a connector you can plug back in.

At that point you can swap in the original strap—mine had already cracked.

After that, the watch came back to life.
Then I discovered that the donor body actually revived after a day of charging! Looks like I can keep it as a spare—so I came out ahead.
