Cooking: Pan-Seared Cod Fillets
The wife bought them, couldn’t cook them, so she dumped them on me…
I can’t cook them either, so I had no choice but to give it a shot.

Ingredients:
- Cod fillets
- Salt
- Oil
- Black pepper
- Egg
- Flour
The method is dead simple too. Defrost the fish first, then sprinkle on a little salt (keep it minimal!), cure for 10 minutes. Next, beat an egg into an egg wash and brush it over the fish pieces, then dust them with a bit of flour and they’re ready to hit the pan.
Keep the pan on low heat and sear it slowly. You need patience and keep an eye on how firm the fish is, because this stuff doesn’t cook through easily.
Once both sides are golden brown, it’s done. Just sprinkle on a little black pepper.

Honestly, the first time I plated it I found out it wasn’t cooked through, so I had to toss it back in for another round.
