I’ve been using the LG Watch Sports for over two years now. Had it repaired once along the way, but lately the battery’s been getting noticeably worse. So I figured I’d swap the battery. Taobao sells replacements, and there are YouTube tutorials for doing it yourself, but the whole process looked way too damn brutal. While I was on the fence, I noticed the Taobao seller offering the batteries also does installation for you. Price wasn’t bad either — 100 yuan for the new battery plus the swap — so I decided to give it a shot.

So Google went and renamed their shit again. Everyone knows it. Android Wear is now Wear OS, and the reason they gave is that “Android watches shouldn’t be Android-only, Apple users can use them too.” Except Apple users all just use an Apple Watch, you assholes. What the hell. I don’t know what crawled up the executives’ asses over at Google. They go crazy every other day. And of course, with the rename comes an update that’s mostly about the rename.
