Vim 8.1 is a minor release — a handful of new features have landed since Vim 8.0. The big one for me is that Vim 8.1 can run a terminal inside a Vim window. That sounds great.
So I decided to put Vim 8.1 on my main machine.
Unlike installing python 3.5 on Ubuntu 14.04. Trying to install Python 3.6 on Ubuntu 16.04 is not an easy mission.
Add the PPA:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:fkrull/deadsnakes
sudo apt-get update
Install Python 3.5:
sudo apt-get install python3.5
sudo apt-get install python3.5-dev
sudo apt-get install libncurses5-dev
